Regiment Way Report 1st March

 

The Midweek Medal was played at Regiment Way Golf Centre on Thursday February 25th. The winner this month was Ian Dunn with a score line of gross 79, h/cap 14, net 65. Taking second place , having lost out on countback, was Mary Homer with her gross 90, h/cap 25 and the same net 65. Third spot went to Anthony Mason on 87 - 21 - 66.

 

Onto Saturday the 27th and the Sid Grover Trophy. This Greensomes Competition was won by Malcolm Barnard and Mitz Shah who scored 39 points. Closely followed by Dan Chetty and Lindsey Matthews, Captain Rob Harper and Heidi Robinson and in fourth place, Nigel Pye and Bob Kesav. These last three pairs all scored the same 38 points and were sorted out using count-back.

Other prizes were awarded, A "Nearest the Pin" at the 17th was won by Malcolm Barnard and Mitz Shah. This also gained them a Birdie in the main competition.. A "Nearest the Pin" in two shots at the 11th hole was won by Kathryn Freake and Nigel Savage.
