It was at Regiment Way that his enthusiasm for coaching came about and to date has helped five juniors from beginner level to achieve professional status. Alongside Steve Cardy, David also coaches the Essex County boys and helps coach the Essex Girls Team.

'My ambition is to help everyone improve and, maybe one day, stand on the range of an Open or Ryder Cup with someone I coach.'
