David is a highly regarded and experienced coach
who has had the pleasure of working with all levels of golfer
from beginners to professionals. David began his professional
career at 17 less than four years after taking it up, and like
all youngsters wanted to win The Open and play in the Ryder Cup.
He competed on mini tours and regional PGA events with some
success and fully qualified with the PGA aged 20, one of the
youngest in history to pass. David joined the Regiment Way staff
in 1995 and was appointed head pro in 2002.
David was made Captain of the Essex PGA in 2004.
It was at Regiment Way that his enthusiasm for
coaching came about and to date has helped five juniors from
beginner level to achieve professional status. Alongside Steve
Cardy, David also coaches the Essex County boys and helps coach
the Essex Girls Team.

maybe one day, stand on the range of an Open or Ryder Cup
with someone I coach.'

Steve is a highly respected coach who
started his professional career at Three Rivers Golf and
Country Club in Essex. In 1996 Steve moved to the Swingfield
Family Golf Centre to become Head Professional and full time
coach, working with players of all levels from beginner to
Tournament professionals.
Throughout his career Steve has attended, and contributed
to, many teaching and coaching summits in the UK, mainland
Europe and the USA.
Further enhancing Steve’s excellent coaching reputation he
holds the highly distinguished posts of PGA of Great Britain
National Swing Tutor and Swing Examiner. Furthermore, and in
conjunction with David Brooks, he has been a leading light
in establishing the Essex County Coaching programme as one
of the most successful of its kind in the UK. This he has
achieved in his capacity as an Essex County Coach.
Steve is currently studying for a MSc in the science of
sports coaching at London South Bank University.
